FAQs
There will be no more than four children in each group, which is the maximum research suggests for effective group literacy intervention.
The groups will primarily follow the Sounds-Write program and scope and sequence. However, our group instructor, Aoife, uses a variety of research-based techniques and methods that align with the science of reading in order to meet the specific needs of her students.
Your application will be reviewed by our team. If your child is deemed a potential candidate for our groups, the next step will involve a 30 minute online screening session to assess their literacy skills. Both the application and screening information will be used to determine placement offerings.
Spaces for the groups are limited. We reserve the right to only offer places to applicants deemed suitable for our groups.
Our literacy groups are speech-language pathologist led and may be claimed under extended health care plans that cover speech-language therapy.
Full payment is due at the time a placement is offered. If required, we can provide individual session receipts after each session takes place.
Group 1: 9:30 am – 11 am
Group 2: 11:30 am – 1 pm
Children will be placed in groups based on their current skill level.
